Six months after the MUSIC-haic kick off meeting, the project partners as well as experts from NASA, NRC and FAA met on 27-28 March 2019 in Braunschweig, Germany. The main objectives of the meeting were to assess the last 6 months, plan for the next 6 months and integrate the findings and conclusions of the International Icing Workshop on Ice Crystal Icing organised at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics of TU Braunschweig on 25-26 March.
After the welcome from Dr. Stephan Bansmer, who kindly hosted the project meeting, and Dr. Philippe Villedieu, the MUSIC-haic Project Director, the first day focused on the literature survey performed by partners in charge of experimental data and models, and the coordination between the different work packages. An important aspect of the second day was dedicated to the other work packages, project management and contractual discussions.
During these two days, the MUSIC partners showed an overview of the progress of each work package during the first 6 months and the planning for the next steps. Dr. Stephan Bansmer also provided the MUSIC-haic consortium the opportunity of a short technical tour of the German Aerospace Centre (DLR).
